Biography - SEMAH G WEIFUR

Very little is known about this handsome blind talented boy. Not his parents, nor his childhood life. Well, at least we know he is from Liberia, he was born in 2006 and that he was in the care of Monrovia-based NGO, Christian Association of the Blind (CAB). Life hasn’t been kind to him but young Semah hasn’t allowed that kill his spirit. In spite of his circumstances, Semah’s dream is to become a singer.


BEGINNING
Semah G was born blind and from the story we gathered, he got into the orphanage at a tender age. Insinuating that the parents died shortly after his birth, or maybe abandoned him. But if the latter was the case, I guess they would have showed up by now that he is getting famous.

CAREER
While in Monrovia-Liberia, Semah adored the songs of Flavour - a Nigerian secular musician. He always wished to meet with him some day. And on the 27th of March 2017 that dream came true.
Flavour travelled to Liberia for a United Nations peacekeeping trip, and on the first night Semah was given the opportunity to perform. He sang most of the songs of Flavour so perfectly that the artist himself confessed thereafter that he found a friend who can sing his songs better than him.


That encounter paved the way for the 11 years old. Not only did he have the opportunity to meet with Flavour, they had to do a recording together titled 'Most High' in June 2017.


One song then became seven, and on March 12th, 2018, Flavour and Semah released a joint gospel EP titled Divine. For an artist who’s made a career off of lewdness and sexual proclivity, releasing a gospel album in itself is a minor miracle. So, while Flavour might be changing Semah’s life, it’s also fair to say that Semah is having an effect on Flavour’s life as well.

A STEP FURTHER
Well, Flavour did not just leave it at that, he went further to adopt the boy as a son. They both have been working together in the music career, and it seems all is moving perfectly well.


Rumours are making it round that Flavour has flown Semah to India for eye surgery, hoping he will see the beauty of this world someday.

Indeed God has a plan for everyone. Whatever you find doing, do it with all passion. Because God blesses that which your hands touch.
