Prophet T.B. Joshua is a Nigerian pastor, televangelist and philanthropist. He is the founder of the 'Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN)', Lagos, Nigeria.
BEGINNING
The celebrated man of God had a lot of unusual circumstances surrounding his birth. First he stayed in the womb for 15 months. Seven days after birth, he narrowly escaped death on a quarry explosion near their house. Sources say particles fell on their roof and one missed him with just a few inches. Due to all these happenings, his mother named him Temitope meaning 'What you have done for me is worthy of thanks'.
EDUCATION
T.B. Joshua was known as Balogun Francis while growing up. He attended st. Stephen's Anglican Primary school in Arigidi his birth place, between 1971 - 1977. Within this period, his father died making things difficult for him and his education. So his mother sent him to live with a Muslim uncle. He did not complete secondary education because he was restricted from reading the Bible both at home and in school.
So he left the uncle and went to Lagos.
There he was doing some menial jobs and going to school. He was known as 'small pastor' because of his love for things that concern God. However, he still did not complete secondary education. He explains that for about 5 times he had failed attempts to write the JAMB. Either he forgot a document or he had transport failures.
He once attempted to join the military, but the train he boarded for the interview has a break down. He went back home frustrated, but the mother told him 'God has a better plan for you'.
MINISTRY
In 1987, he embarked on a 40 days and 40 night fasting on a prayer mountain, where he received divine commission to begin his ministry. He then started the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) with just 5 members.
Ever since then, the church has moved from one phase to another, standing the test of time.

Joshua was around and as Evelyn made her way into his office, the man of God proclaimed her his wife and that was it. Everything big starts small. T.B. Joshua is highly criticised by many, including his fellow pastors. Yet he is standing strong in the faith.
GOD IS STILL SAYING SOMETHING.
